Bruins drop Jets 6-3 Featured

Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-David Pastrnak's four point night led the Boston Bruins to a 6-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets Thursday night.

The Boston winger fired a pair of goals and added two assists.

Hampus Lindholm had a goal and an assist for Boston.

Casey Middlestadt, Sean Kurlay and Elias Lindholm also scored for the Bruins.

Morgan Geekie had a pair of assists.

Joonas Korpisalo made 26 saves for Boston, who moved to 19-13-0.

Morgan Barron, Alex Iafallo and Gabe Vilardi scored for the Jets.

Eric Comrie turned aside 18 shots for Winnipeg, who fell to 14-15-1.

The Jets have dropped out of the NHL Central playoff race losing three straight and nine of their last eleven games.

Morgan Barron gave Winnipeg an early lead just under six minutes into the first when he found a loose puck in the crease and jammed it past Korpisalo to make it 1-0 Jets.

The Bruins scored three unanswered goals before the 12 minute mark.

Boston replied just under two and a half minutes later on the power play when David Pastrnak snapped a wrister past Comrie from the top of the right face off circle.

The goal was his 12th of the season.

Casey Mittlestadt added another power play tally when Mason Lohrei found him alone inside the right face off circle and slid him the disc.

The Bruin centre made no mistake, firing the puck into a wide open net.

The goal was his 7th of the season.

Sean Kurlay scored at 11:08, working his way behind Logan Stanley and a backchecking Kyle Connor before beating Comrie with a backhand deke to make it a 3-1 game.

Alex Iafallo pulled the Jets to within one 13:37 when he took a Dylan DeMelo feed in the neutral zone before beating Bruins defenceman () wide and beating Korpisalo high just under the cross bar to make it 3-2. Hampus Lindholm restored Boston's two-goal cushion 14:36 into the second period when he stepped into a David Pastrnak feed and blew a slapshot past Comrie, beating him low blocker side to make it 4-2.

The goal was his 2nd of the season.

Gabriel Vilardi made it 4-3 10 seconds into a late second period power play off a faceoff when Cole Perfetti took the puck to the net and the Jet winger popped in the rebound at 17:46.

The goal was his 14th of the season.

Elias Lindholm scored with 5:17 remaining in the third period when he converted a David Pastrnak feed, beating Comrie with a high shot.

The goal was his 5th of the season.
