In an not unexpected move, the Ottawa Senators have put one time 56 goal scorer Jonathan Cheechoo on waivers for the purpose of buying him out. Cheechoo has one year left on it at $3.5 Millon and scored five goals and added nine assists in 61 games for the Sens last year before being assigned to their AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
