Winnipeg, Manitoba (NHN)-Mark Scheifele scored twice and added an assist to pace the Winnipeg Jets to a 3-1 win over the visiting St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night.

Winnipeg rebounded with a win after suffering a 2-0 setback at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks a night earlier.

Josh Morrissey had a goal and two assists.

Kyle Connor had a pair of assists.

Eric Comrie made 22 saves for Winnipeg, who moved to 20-23-6.

Joel Hofer turned aside 13 shots for St. Louis, who dropped to 19-23-8.

With Nathan Walker off for high sticking Jets defenceman Isaak Phillips, Mark Scheifele flipped a puck back to Josh Morrissey that the Jet defenceman stepped into, beating Hofer glove side to give the Jets a 1-0 lead at 9:52.

Scheifele followed it up scoring at 11:25 when he took control of the puck along the side boards before moving in and flipping the disc past Hofer high short side to make it 2-0 Winnipeg.

Philip Broberg nearly scored for the Blues with 6:40 left in the opening stanza when he beat Comrie off a two-on-one and his shot appeared to be on it's way to crossing the goal line but a diving Nino Niederreiter managed to knock the disc away as it was about to cross the goal line.

Jordan Kyrou got the Blues on the board on the power play when he one timed a Justin Faulk feed past a screened Eric Comrie from the inside the left circle.

The goal was his 9th of the season.

Scheifele added an empty netter with 2:23 remaining in regulation to seal the win for the Jets.
